When people talk about “distance,” they usually think of physical space between places. However, the COVID-19 pandemic changed the way we understand this idea. Even when people were far apart, they found new ways to stay connected.
During the pandemic, many activities moved online. Students attended classes through screens, and people communicated using video calls. At first, this seemed to reduce the distance between people.
