Last night I was doing my homework in my room.

A few minutes later, my father came home.
He told me that a tree fell on the ground because of the storm.
It sounded scary, but no one was hurt.

文法ポイント
- 過去進行形は、be動詞の過去形と一般動詞にingでつくります。
was doing / was sleeping - heard / looked / came / told / fell sounded（過去形）
- was be動詞 am・is の過去形
- could not can not の過去形
- tell 人 that ～ 人に～だと伝える (～は主語・動詞の文章)
